Understand SEO, search and visibility
Search work combines subjects that do not replace one another. A page can be accessible without being indexed, indexed without meeting the right need, and visible without producing a useful action. Connect terminology to these stages before choosing a fix.

A reading path
1. Discovery and access
Find links leading to the page, its status and rules allowing or preventing crawling. A sitemap helps communicate URLs without guaranteeing indexing.
2. Indexing and representation
Separate the crawled URL, canonical representation and indexing state. A noindex directive and a crawling restriction serve different purposes.
3. Relevance and outcome
Compare the search need with what the page actually provides. An impression, click and received enquiry are different observations; none replaces the others.
Useful distinctions
Structured data / Rich result
Structured data describes information; a rich result is a presentation a search engine may choose for eligible types. Valid markup does not guarantee that presentation.
GEO / SEO
GEO names industry practices aimed at generative answers. For Google, SEO fundamentals remain relevant; an assistant-oriented file does not guarantee a citation.
Use the vocabulary to make a decision
Situation
A service page gets impressions but few relevant enquiries.
Before deciding
Examine queries and the page promise before expanding content volume. The issue may be a mismatch between the need and offer.
A concrete check
Compare a meaningful period, page access and enquiries actually received.

Frequently asked questions
Should I start with keywords or technical problems?
First identify what blocks the page. If it is unavailable or has an incorrect indexing state, fix that issue. If access works, examine intent and the answer provided.
Does an assistant citation prove a conversion?
No. It indicates presence in a particular context. Check visits, understanding and useful actions separately, retaining limitations in available data.
