Tourist accommodation: explain the stay before the…

The comparison of an accommodation depends as much on the conditions of the stay as on the photos. A useful page allows you to check the capacity, equipment, access and operation of the reservation without having to bring several contradictory documents together.

These files describe preparation methods. They do not present customer achievements and do not replace the validation of information by the organization concerned.

Describe each accommodation accurately

Distinguish sleeping capacity, bed configuration and room characteristics. List the equipment actually present and their limits. Avoid letting a photo suggest some equipment that is not included. A recent photograph should have a caption when multiple dwellings or categories are similar.

Link availability and conditions

Explain the minimum duration, the open periods, the number of people taken into account and the costs announced by the operator. Present the applicable conditions before validation. If the request does not constitute a confirmed reservation, say so near the main action and in the message sent to the visitor.

Prepare for arrival

Gather practical information: access, confirmed parking, arrival and departure times, interlocutor and particularities of the place. For accessibility, describe the verified characteristics of the path and housing. Keep sensitive instructions, such as an access code, in the appropriate private channel.

Check dates and variants

Test a stay that goes through a change of month, an unavailable period, an outdated capacity and a change of dates. Check the consistency between presented price, chosen options and summary. Confirmations in the different languages should keep the same dates, numbers and conditions.

Maintain the page after the season

Check the equipment, works and photos before reopening the reservation. Report completed offers instead of keeping an active button. When a surrounding activity is presented, name its source and check its availability; Geographic proximity guarantees neither openness nor partnership.

Information to gather before writing

  • Capacity and configuration of beds
  • Equipment included and exclusions
  • Conditions validated by the operator
  • Operation of confirmation
  • Arrival information and contact

For each item, keep the source, the person validating it and the language versions concerned. Missing information must become a question to solve, never a value invented to fill the page.

Frequently asked questions

Use ambient images?

They can illustrate an atmosphere if their role is explicit. Equipment and housing should be shown with real or unambiguous images.

also translate confirmation?

Yes: dates, accommodation, options, conditions and next step should remain understandable after the language change.
