    Cooking, food and gastronomy

A recipe explains a preparation; food safety also requires understanding handling and storage.

    Getting started

Read the whole recipe, identify ingredients and consult safety resources before changing preparation or storage.

    Before deciding

A recipe does not guarantee freedom from allergens. Check labels, recalls and local guidance; no universal storage time is proposed here.

Choose a source and keep useful references

    Compare resources

FAO presents food system safety and quality; WHO describes health risks. These sources complement a recipe rather than replacing it.

    Prepare your research

For a meal, list ingredients, label information and known constraints. Find product-specific guidance without inventing a storage period.

    Practical questions

Does replacing an ingredient remove an allergen risk?

A substitution changes the recipe but does not describe every ingredient or possible contact during preparation. Check labels and the person's requirements; seek appropriate advice if information is missing.

Can every dish use the same storage instructions?

Find guidance suited to ingredients, packaging and actual preparation conditions. Keep product instructions; a duration found for another food is insufficient justification for your storage choice.
